My sketchbook is now available for purchase. It's been a long time in the making. It includes many sketches, doodles and drawings I've created in my professional and personal sketchbooks. The book also provides insight into my thought process and how I approach ideas and sketching. The book is available in softcover and hardcover, you can order your copy here: Once upon a time in my mind

    Hello there,

    how are you doing?
I am actually trying out new drawing-techniques (chalks, dried markers dipped in chinese inks which works pretty well, and some more different paper sizes and types (rougher or smoother).
There is a question showing up regarding size-dimensions of paper. Which is in your opinion a good choice in terms of paper (thicker or thinner, rough or smooth, etc.) and paper-size dimensions? I know it depends on what I want. To be more specific - which type of paper do you personally prefer for a mixed technique with pencils/chalks/graphite and ink?

As I own your Illumina Artbook I saw which size-dimensions and canvas-types you chose. But maybe you found new types of paper for drawing you like to use.
I am collecting artist's opinions regarding tools and canvas-types, and already discovered many new traditional drawing tools. So, maybe, I will discover some new stuff with your help as well.

I wish you a nice day and happy drawing as soon as there is new work. (Love the book-preview by the way, I lay aside money for the hard-cover version)

    Many greetings,

    - Dave
